Better Connecting CEDER and its Partners
What was the problem?
The Center for Education Design, Evaluation, and Research (CEDER) at the University of Michigan felt that its website was under performing in its usability for potential partners (and its very own employees) trying to connect with CEDER, as well as its communication of what CEDER does and how it can help.
Process
We completed a full usability analysis of the existing website. We engaged with our target user group and client, created reports detailing our methods, and generated and tested a prototype.
The data synthesis that took place in these photos allowed us to identify the most important aspects of the information on the site for the users, and design our solutions focusing on their needs.
Personas
We used personas in this project to help guide our thinking along the lines of what users care about, their life experiences, their skills, and other personal information generated from data synthesis.
Delivery
We delivered the client a succinct and actionable set of requirements, along with prototype interactions and pages for their site that we tested with target users. We delivered the results of those usability tests and a video made to explain the process and recommendations verbally.
